Carol Gluck, the George Sansom Professor of History and Chair of the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University, gave keynote addresses at three symposia in early 2016: “Rediscovering Northeast Asia” at the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka, January 23-24, 2016; “Internationalizing Japan Studies,” Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, January 30-31, 2016; and “Memory Regime Change in East Asia,” Waseda University, February 4, 2016. Professor Gluck also presented a public lecture on “What the World Owes to the Comfort Women” at the Center for Women and Governance in Tokyo on February 2, 2016.
