
Carol Gluck, the George Sansom Professor of History and Chair of the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University, spoke at the symposium “The Location of Europe: Shared and Divided Memories in the Global Age,” which was held from November 28 through November 30, 2016 at the Palace Herrenhausen in Hanover, Germany, and convened by the European University Viadrina.

Professor Gluck also spoke at the Committee on Global Thought’s November 21, 2016 event “Global Hot Spots: Turkey in the World.” In addition to Professor Gluck, the event featured Orhan Pamuk, Robert Yik-Fong Tam Professor of the Humanities and Fellow, The Committee on Global Thought; N. Turkuler Isiksel, James P. Shenton Assistant Professor of the Core Curriculum, Political Science; and Mark Mazower, Commentator, Ira D. Wallach Professor of History.
