Carol Gluck, the George Sansom Professor of History and Chair of the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University, gave a talk titled “The Past is a Moving Target” at a conference on Memorial Museums and the Historical Past at the Topography of Terror in Berlin on February 6, 2018.
The Topography of Terror is a widely visited place of remembrance in Berlin. During the Third Reich, the headquarters of the Secret State Police, the SS and the Reich Security Main Office were located at the site.
