Duncan McCargo, Visiting Professor of Political Science at Columbia University and Professor of Political Science at the University of Leeds, wrote an August 12, 2018 article in the Asia Times titled “Finish Line for Century-old Bangkok Horse Track,” about the upcoming September closure of the illustrious military-affiliated Royal Turf Club.
