Duncan McCargo writes in Nikkei Asian Review about Cambodia’s 2018 General Election

DuncanMcCargo2_550wDuncan McCargo, Visiting Professor of Political Science at Columbia University and Professor of Political Science at the University of Leeds, wrote a June 8, 2017 article in the Nikkei Asian Review titled “Local Poll Leaves Hun Sen Looking Vulnerable in 2018 Election” about what the outcomes in recent local elections in Cambodia may mean for the general election in 2018.

“As the local election made clear, Cambodians no longer feel a debt of loyalty to the Hun Sun government for past accomplishments: young voters in particular are looking for a brighter future, and expect both major parties to put forward a new generation of more sophisticated candidates in 2018,” Professor McCargo writes.
