Gerald L. Curtis, the Burgess Professor of Political Science Emeritus at Columbia University, recently met in Tokyo with former Prime Minister of Japan Yasuhiro Nakasone.
Yasuhiro Nakasone, now 97 years old, served as Japan’s Prime Minister from 1982 until 1987. During his time in office, Prime Minister Nakasone consulted with Professor Curtis, an internationally renowned scholar of Japanese politics.
