Gray Tuttle, the Leila Hadley Luce Associate Professor of Modern Tibetan Studies at Columbia University, recently spoke on the New Books in East Asian Studies Podcast about The Tibetan History Reader (Columbia University Press, 2013), which he co-edited with Kurtis Schaeffer, and Sources of Tibetan Tradition (Columbia University Press, 2013), which he co-edited with Schaeffer and Matthew Kapstein. Carla Nappi, the host of the podcast, noted that “both texts will be on my bookshelf for many years to come: they are exceptionally useful not only for research, but also for teaching a wide range of courses in East Asian history, religious history, diaspora history, and literary studies, to name just a few fields that these texts contribute to.”
