Lien-Hang Nguyen, the Dorothy Borg Associate Professor in the History of the United States and East Asia at Columbia University, will discuss the history of the Vietnam War at the New-York Historical Society on January 29, 2018 and at the Council on Foreign Relations on February 8, 2018.
Professor Nguyen will deliver the keynote address during the High School Chancellor’s Day Workshop “The Vietnam War: 1945–1975” at the New-York Historical Society on January 29, 2018. The event will run from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Ticketing is available here.
On February 8, 2018, Professor Nguyen will take part in the Council on Foreign Relations’ panel discussion “Fifty Years After the Tet Offensive: Lessons From the Vietnam War,” which will also feature journalist Frances FitzGerald and Harvard professor Fredrik Logevall.
