Lien-Hang Nguyen, the Dorothy Borg Associate Professor in the History of the United States and East Asia at Columbia University, will discuss the history of the 1968 Tet Offensive on BBC Radio 4’s program “Back to Vietnam” on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
Professor Nguyen took part in the program, which focuses on BBC journalist Julian Pettifer, who was the Saigon correspondent during the Tet Offensive. During the program, Pettifer explores how the Tet Offensive was the spark which ignited a series of explosive events that made it a turning point, not only in the Vietnam war, but in modern history.
