Madeleine Zelin Co-Organizes First AAS Workshop on “Emerging Fields in the Study of Asia”

Madeleine Zelin, the Dean Lung Professor of Chinese Studies at Columbia University, has co-organized the first Association for Asian Studies workshop on “Emerging Fields in the Study of Asia.” Co-organized by Siddharth Chandra at Michigan State University, the workshop will focus on economic history and will take place from June 10 to June 11 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Professor Zelin’s economic history workshop will be the first in a series of summer workshops held by the Association for Asian Studies with support from the Luce Foundation.
