Video and photographs are now available from the May 8, 2017 event “Pacific Overtures: A Panel Discussion About the Celebrated Musical and its 2017 Off-Broadway Revival.”
The event featured George Takei, actor and activist; John Weidman, librettist of “Pacific Overtures;” Carol Gluck, George Sansom Professor of History, Columbia University; and David Hajdu, Professor of Journalism, Columbia University. This special event, held in Low Memorial Library’s Faculty Room, was co-sponsored by the Donald Keene Center of Japanese Culture and was generously supported by an anonymous donor.
