Michael C. Davis writes about the rule of law in Hong Kong in Washington Post analysis piece

WEAI Research Scholar Michael C. Davis published an article in The Washington Post on November 21 titled “In Hong Kong, Beijing’s tough talk could spark a constitutional crisis.” In his analysis, Davis provides legal background on the recent developments in Hong Kong and the current challenges facing Hong Kong’s rule of law. “At this point, Beijing appears set to intervene in Hong Kong, not with tanks, but by issuing a legal interpretation that would contravene the Hong Kong High Court’s ruling,” Davis wrote.
