A symposium section of the Journal of Asian Public Policy coedited by Professor Qin Gao has just been published and will be featured in the journal’s July 2019 issue. The first article in the section is titled “Supporting variability in women’s lifestyles: a study of single-motherhood transition in South Korea and Japan” and is coauthored by Jiajia Zhou, MARSEA ’18 and Jennifer So, Social Work ’18. The second article, “Identity crisis among rural-to-urban migrant children in China: a proposal for school and government interventions,” is by three Social Work students/graduates (Qianfeng Lin ’18, Mengluo Ren ’18 and Mengdi Yang ’19). The articles resulted from Professor Gao’s “Global Social Policy” elective course last spring.
