Qin Gao, Professor of Social Policy and Social Work and Director, China Centre for Social Policy, at Columbia University, recently made a video presentation to the United Nations Development Programme about lessons from China’s Dibao system that might help inform a Universal Basic Income (UBI) program for China. Professor Gao’s presentation was part of an event about UBI that was hosted in October 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme in China (UNDP China) in Beijing.
