GerryCurtis2015-16The Japan Times recently paid tribute to Gerald L. Curtis, the Burgess Professor of Political Science, on the eve of his retirement from teaching at Columbia. In the December 12, 2015 article “Gerald Curtis, the Ultimate Insider in Japanese Politics, Retires,” Jeff Kingston, a Columbia PhD who teaches at Temple University in Japan, talked with leading academics about Professor Curtis’s lasting impact in the field of Japanese politics.
