WEAI Senior Research Scholar Elizabeth Wishnick has published a March 7, 2017 report titled “China’s Interests & Goals in the Arctic: Implications for the U.S.” for the U.S. Army War College.
China has been elaborating its position on the Arctic at the same time as the United States has been refining its own Arctic strategy as Chairman of the Arctic Council through April 2017. In her report, Wishnick, who is also a professor of political science and law at Montclair State University, writes about the geopolitical implications of China’s growing involvement in the Arctic for U.S. interests.
