WEAI congratulates Senior Research Scholar Elizabeth Wishnick, who recently received a Fulbright Global Research Award that will allow her to spend six months in Shanghai, Vladivostok, and Almaty in 2018-19 conducting research for her book in progress, China’s Risk: Oil, Water, Food and Regional Security (forthcoming from Columbia University Press).
Elizabeth Wishnick is Professor of Political Science at Montclair State University, where she is also the Coordinator of the Asian Studies Undergraduate Minor. Professor Wishnick’s research focuses on Chinese foreign policy and non-traditional security. She is the author of Mending Fences: The Evolution of Moscow’s China Policy from Brezhnev to Yeltsin (Seattle: University of Washington Press, 2014 and 2001). Professor Wishnick received a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University, an M.A. in Russian and East European Studies from Yale University, and a B.A. from Barnard College.
